The Bangladesh Human Rights Commission (BHRC) and the International Human Rights Commission, Geneva (IHRC Geneva) share a unique relationship. Established under the auspices of the BHRC, the IHRC Geneva serves as a complementary body, working to ensure human rights worldwide.
Regardless of shared vision with the BHRC, the IHRC Geneva operates under a separate constitution, with a primary objective to promote human rights globally, engaging people from all over the world. In line with the world-wide mandate of the IHRC Geneva to establish branches in all the regions of the world, particularly in the UN member States and function as an intergovernmental organization, National Offices have been set up in countries in Africa, America, Asia, Europe, Middle East and other regions of the world.

The name of the International Executive Committee (IEC) of IHRC was declared on 24th December 2003 in Geneva, Switzerland, the head quarters of UN. The IEC have been established with 24th Member from 24 countries of Asia, Africa, Europe and America. Each member country of United Nations will be member of IHRC. IHRC has been established for eradicating atomic weapons, conducting impartial inquiry of my torture in national or international level, mobilizing public opinion for peace and against war, materializing UN Charter of human rights in each and every country and to make UN a sovereign, neutral and rights organization.
